The Hope Summit 2023 Festival returns for its second year bigger and bolder than before with over 40 local nonprofits, community organizations, government entities, educational institutions, and sustainable local vendors coming together in an outdoor market of hope and community-driven solutions. This Festival is co-hosted by the Carolina Ocean Alliance and the Daniel Island Neighborhood Association with a Family Zone curated by the Lowcountry Marine Mammal Network.

Daniel Island Waterfront Park is a beautiful hidden gem in the City of Charleston. With stunning views of the Cooper River, this charming waterfront square is accessible by walking and biking trails and is connected to the rest of the City of Charleston by the Daniel Island Ferry. While at The Hope Summit 2023 Festival, visitors can enjoy a beautiful waterside meal at The Kingstide or a waterside picnic with a pizza from The Dime.

Ride the Daniel Island Ferry

Bypass the traffic and support marine mass transit in Charleston by booking a free round-trip on the Daniel Island Ferry. Options include full-day and half-day trips. The Full Day will depart at the Maritime Center near the South Carolina Aquarium downtown at 10:30 am and return at 4:30 pm and the Half Day will depart downtown at 12:00 pm and return at 3:30 pm.

All events risk becoming unnecessarily wasteful. The Hope Summit organizers, partners, vendors, and attendees all have a shared responsibility to mitigate their waste and emissions. Learn how you can do your part.

Make your commitment to accomplish the tasks below:

Look before you throw and use the correct recycling and compost bins
Fill your reusable cups or water bottles at the water refilling station
Eat locally sourced options from the food vendors on-site or from our list of sustainable local partners, bring reusable plasticware, and purchase beverages contained in recyclable metals.
