Our Mission

We are an annual conference and festival held in Charleston founded to create agency and hope through community-driven solutions.

The Hope Summit is a multidisciplinary and intersectional ideas and solutions summit with core thematic tracks that include water quality and plastic pollution, stewardship and citizen science, governance, ecological restoration, resilience and adaptation, storytelling as a catalyst of change, environmental justice, and traditional ways of experiencing and managing terrestrial and marine ecosystems.

Sept 28

Stories have the power to change the world. At The Hope Summit, we aspire to inspire by showcasing powerful filmmakers and translating their stories into tangible, solutions-driven action.

Ecopreneurs, Creatives, and More

Sept 29

In 2024 we will showcase Creative Solutions and Solutions-In-Action through an Ecopreneur and Innovation Expo, a Local Foods Showcase cookout, community engagement outings and side events, and more.

The Hope Summit 2024 Conference

Sept 30 - Oct 1

The Conference returns as a two-day intersectional and multi-disciplinary gathering to explore "repairing our relationship with water". Day 1 will focus on local systems to help promote Healthy Communities. Day 2 will expand local and regional solutions outward to promote a Healthy Planet.
